 | TMC recently celebrated a major construction
milestone. At a "topping-out ceremony,"
hospital personnel and workers signed the
last steel beam before it was lifted by a
crane and placed on top of the building.

Opening day is getting closer! In a
matter of months, we'll be opening the
doors to the new Texoma Medical Center
-- and excitement is definitely in the air.
Construction is ahead of schedule, and
we expect that the facility will officially
open by the end of the year or shortly
thereafter. Employees already are touring
the site as the hospital continues to take
shape.
"This project has had a positive
impact on the community and the local
economy," says Randy Truxal, Vice
President of Support Services. "Many
local subcontractors are working on the
project, and many workers are living in
the area during construction."
Workers are now erecting metal studs
for the walls, putting in the ducting
system and completing the roof drainage
system for the facility.
Expect the following at the new
hospital:
- A 165-bed facility with a nine-room
operating suite and eight floors (two
floors are shelled out for future
expansion)
- An array of innovative technology,
including a new 64-slice computed
tomography scanner, advanced cardiac
catheterization equipment and much
more
- The ability to grow with the
community: Building can be easily
expanded to add 76 beds and three
more operating rooms
- A convenient location, at the
intersection of US Highway 75 and
State Road 691, Denison
