Dealing with heart problems can be scary,
but one thing you don't have to worry
about is where to get comprehensive
cardiac care. The doctors, nurses and other
cardiovascular specialists at the Texoma
Heart Center are committed to helping you
live a long life with a healthy heart.
They're available around the clock to
provide high-quality care if you suffer a
heart attack, another cardiac emergency
or need ongoing care for a non-emergency
condition.
"We're considered a regional center for
cardiovascular excellence," says cardiologist
Mukesh Sheth, MD, Chief of Medicine at
TMC. "Our cardiologists and surgeons keep
abreast of recent advances, so the care we
provide here compares to other major
facilities in the Metroplex area."
The Heart Center offers:
- Diagnostic and interventional care.
Heart Center physicians perform a variety
of tests and procedures to diagnose and
treat cardiac conditions. Doctors have
performed more than 24,000 cardiac
catheterization procedures -- including
coronary and peripheral angiograms and
coronary angioplasties -- since the
cardiovascular program began.
- Chest pain evaluations. Staff members
in our dedicated Chest Pain Unit use
innovative technology to evaluate
patients with chest pain quickly and
accurately.
- Cardiovascular surgery. The Texoma
Heart Center offers an array of advanced
surgical treatments, including open-heart
surgery, beating-heart bypass procedures
and stent graph placements for
abdominal aortic aneurysms.
- Cardiac rehabilitation. Trained cardiac
rehabilitation therapists educate patients
about adopting healthy lifestyles and
develop structured and monitored
exercise programs to help patients
strengthen their hearts.
"You get more than excellent treatment
at the Texoma Heart Center," Dr. Sheth
says. "We also provide the compassion and
support you need. That way, you can get
back on your feet as safely and quickly as
possible."
